In January 2007 Sydenhams acquired the long established Bath Builders Merchant, A F Shearn Ltd.
The site is not large, & the current layout does not allow for the full Sydenhams range of material to be stocked as the photo's show.
The first priority is therefore to extend the showroom & create more yard space. This however poses more than the usual number of problems as the branch is built over an old stone mine.
At the time of going to press racking has been installed in the yard and modifications have been made to the main building, in order to increase the range of timber.
However the work to rebuild the showroom & increase the size of the yard is awaiting the outcome of geological surveys, work is progressing well.
In the mean time Ian Sutton, branch manager and his team are getting on with increasing sales from the present facilities.
